Do not move it at all — wherever it has come to rest is where it should stay — get vehicles, children and pets out from under the opening, and wait for a technician carrying winding bars. Treat a parted cable or a door sitting askew in the tracks the same way. Whatever load path is left is carrying the weight unevenly, and prodding at it is precisely how a straightforward repair becomes an ambulance call.
