A garage door replacement is really two purchases. Rigidity matters more generally on a wide opening. A door that flexes across its span loads its hinges and end stiles unevenly, and on a pad that is out of level it is already being asked to land unevenly, which compounds it. Strut specification across the top section should be set to the actual width rather than left at the manufacturer's minimum, and on a wide door that is a conversation worth having at the estimate rather than a detail buried in the paperwork.
