Almost nobody rings able to name the component that has gone, and there is no reason anybody should. What you have is a symptom: the door lifts a foot and stops, or comes down out of square, or has started making a noise it was not making last year, or does nothing whatsoever. Each of those descriptions has half a dozen candidates behind it, and more than a few of those candidates are components that have been quietly wrecked by a different component.
